This is a tricky spelling unit. We practiced dividing our words in to vowel groupings, and we made silly sentences to help us remember the groupings. Please practice these words at home for Friday's test. Words are on the back of each Friday's newsletter, and there are also practice pages in your child's folder tonight.

I am currently working on AIMS fluency testing with each student. Fluency monitors your child's reading rate/number of words per minute. Results will be sent home when all of our Ridge students have been assessed.
Block 2 took our AIMSweb reading comprehension baseline computerized tests today. These tests will just help identify strengths and weaknesses to help your child become a better reader this year.
