Today we worked on learning our Unit 2 Spelling words for the test on Friday and completed workbook review pages. These pages have been sent home tonight for practice. These words all have long vowel sounds.

Today was also our first official library day with Mrs. Drews. Library books will be due on Thursdays. Students may check out three books each week.
Our language arts class is currently using the novel Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing to start the year. We are reading about Peter's adventures with his family, including his naughty brother "Fudge."
I am currently working on AIMS fluency testing with each student. Fluency monitors your child's reading rate/number of words per minute. Results will be sent home when all of our Ridge students have been assessed.
