Other skills this week included Steps in a Process and comparing and contrasting fiction/nonfiction text.
We also took our Unit 16 Spelling Test and worked on Fact/Opinion.
I have begun AIMS testing for fluency for the Winter Benchmark. It will take a while to get through the entire class before reports are sent home, but we are in the process of completing this test. Students orally read three probes to me. Each story "probe" (selection) is a timed one-minute selection. The goal is to make good progress in fluency (reading rate).
