Just Like Me
Today we took the vocabulary test over Just Like Me. eBook We are now working on making our own self portraits and writing our own autobiographies.
Block 1 is finishing the read aloud The Rookie Bookie, and Block 2 has started the read aloud Wonder.
I have begun AIMS testing for fluency for the Winter Benchmark. It will take a while to get through the entire class before reports are sent home, but we are in the process of completing this test. Students orally read three probes to me. Each story "probe" (selection) is a timed one-minute selection. The goal is to make good progress in fluency (reading rate).
