It's Friday!

Today we continued to work on the four different types of sentences.

Exclamation/Exclamatory - Wow, what a good dog you are!
Command/Imperative - Put your name on your paper.
Question/Interrogative - What are we having for dinner?
Statement/Declarative - Today is Friday.

Have your child look at the Sunday comics and try to find examples of each kind of sentence.  We enjoyed doing this in class.

We also continued to work on our Character Poems.  It was fun seeing the descriptive words that each child selected to describe themselves.

We took our Unit 1 Spelling Test today and will begin Unit 2 on Monday.  I will have spelling grades returned on Monday.  Here's the link to play unit spelling games and take practice tests at home:
