Today we worked on practicing our spelling words and completed a Mothers' Day writing activity. Don't peek at it until Sunday!
Tomorrow is 1/2 day, early dismissal.
Today students had instrument tryouts for band/orchestra preparation. They are bringing home a letter about this today.
We also read a Time For Kids article about honoring our veteran heroes. We talked about World War II. Our class read aloud book is The Million Dollar Shot.
Our Spelling test will be tomorrow. Students should primarily focus on studying the base word used to make each of the spelling words. For example, in the word "incorrectly", it can be broken down as in + correct + ly.
I have completed AIMS one-minute fluency reads with the students. Results will be sent home at the end of the year and hopefully will reflect good fluency progress!
