Spelling words will be sent home each Friday on a classroom newsletter. The words will be taught and reviewed during the week, and the spelling test will be given on the last day of each school week. Here is a link to the weekly spelling units:

There will be a Tuesday evening homework assignment asking students to reread the story which was introduced in class. Vocabulary words pertaining to the story will also be discussed and should be reviewed at home. A story selection test will generally be given on Wednesday. Students are allowed to use their books and vocabulary sheets for assistance on the test.
Please read at home each evening. Reading is the key to success!
