It's the Weekend!

Students are bringing home their "Tiger Folders"  which contain their graded papers for the week.  Please ask your child to show you these papers so they can bring back the folder to school on Tuesday.  We will refill the Tiger Folders and send them home each Friday.  As always, please let us know if you have any questions about the graded assignments.

Spelling Test Tomorrow

Tomorrow's spelling test will consist of 20 words.  There are 5 "Challenge Words."  The challenge words are optional.  These five words are: gingerly, ditch, pleasure, penguin, lecture.

Keep up with the spelling practice for our weekly test.  Unit 1 test will be given on Friday.  There are 5 bonus/challenge words for interested students!

The Hot and Cold Summer

Tonight students should reread the "The Hot and Cold Summer" for homework. Students have their reading books in their tote bag.  Students have a blue story sheet that should be signed by an adult and returned to school tomorrow.  This story sheet has vocabulary words on the back, and there is also a spelling list to continue practicing at home.  Spelling tests will be given on the last day of the week.

Spelling Lists

Students have taken home their first 20 spelling words to practice for Friday's test.  They do not have any homework to return tomorrow.  Each child has a pink "Character Trait" paper in their Reading/Language Arts binder to keep as a reference sheet.  We are learning about character traits in our first reading story.

The Weekend is Here!

The weekend is here...time to relax and find a good book to read at home for fun!

Switching Classes!

Today we met all of our classroom teachers.  Mrs. Rick will teach math first thing in the morning.  Mrs. Hickey is our science and social studies teacher.  We have language arts in the afternoon.  No homework in language arts today.  Tell your parents all about your school schedule!
